hey i'm back! but unfortunatly my comp still cant connect. things brain dead as far as internet goes. i might have to backup all my files and reformat the whole thing (i hope i dont have to though)! so that means once again, i using this older comp, but it seems to be running a lot smoother, either that or i gotten used to it again.

in any case i have been keeping track of my favorites on the web. some of which i may have forgotten. others....well....i cant find on youtube. in any case i've also made the jump into xbox live (playing under my other internet name, phantom0370). oh, and i gonna say right now that I AM NOT TAKING FRIEND REQUESTS VIA NEWGROUNDS FOR XBOX LIVE!!! i will also not accept random friend requests through xbox live due to the fact i delete anything that comes at me (whether its invites or messages) from out of the blue.

as far as my project goes its still on ice... still dont got the software. even then idk if this comp here can handle the program(s) involved. I've decided to write an episode or 2 ahead while i had the ideas brewing, but i cant follow through with making them come alive....yet!

thats all i gotta say for now. i'll try to update every now and then, but this IS the family computer, so...yeah it may take ahwile. shooooot i forgot the screenshot of me from runescape!!! next time then!

hey. its been awhile since i was last here! my comp is getting its internet connection back soon; the only problem i have is the security. since it disconnected i havent been able to update it, which is worrying me a bit. hopefully the provider will protect me until i can update and be secure again.

my projects are still on hold, but not forgotten! what i have been doing is tinkering around with the photoshop program to get used to it. unfortunatly...i've been a bit too busy these last few weeks and havent gotten around to shopping for adobe 8.

also, because of the loss of internet i've been coming here less frequently. i been playing with an alter ego known as phantom0370. i only use him for runescape and sometimes funorb. have been for about 14 months. by the way, i was into phantom hourglass at the time i made him.

i willing to talk there if you find me, but i would request that those who do follow the rules of runescape (dont ask for personal details, website advertising, etc.) and realize that i dont play 24/7.

i'll post again when i get internet back...maybe with a screen shot of me as phantom0370. shouldnt take me long seeing all i need is a dsl phone-ethernet converter.

to start things off, the info on the software was misleading cost-wise...it was more than i saw...

and...ok i'm not gonna lie here, i havent moved out yet. anyway, my mom decided to get me the software programs i needed as a christmas gift...

i got 2 of them, and thats as much as i needed... when i opened the first... photoshop elements 7^_^...

and the second (and this is how i reacted mind you)....wtf? avg!?!

as if my christmas week cant get any worse, i let my bro borrow the internet cable that i use for my comp (it runs above ground).

this isnt what ticked me off though; what ticked me off was that now my comp doesnt remember the blasted router it was connected to, so now i gotta make an entirely new connection to the router!

i reaaaally am starting to hate my comp now, blasted vista. for now though i can use the family computer for my internet needs. i hate it though, as its an older model that slows down from a simple protection scan >_<

oh, just great! i just looked at the screen of the comp i own, and my windows firewall is off too! good thing att has their own firewall built into their lines, but i gonna turn it on anyway...*click*...and it isnt turning on... greeeeeeeaaaaaatttt-_-

i reaaaaaally hate vista now. so blasted glitchy. idk how i put up with it before.

just great...i cant connect my main computer to the internet anymore (again, using the family one to update)...

i've tried everything i could think of to get it online again...nothing.

so even if i get the adobe pro 8, i cant begin animating because i cant access the internet and get the sprite sheets i need.

that being said, i'll see if i cant use the family comp instead. i doubt it, but it cant hurt to try...i think.

looks like i ticked off someone i reviewed, and it seems that i've made an enemy here. this...doesn't boost my confidence much=/

anyway...thought i'd give an update on how my series is coming along. unfortunatly, i still dont have adobe 9 yet, so i cant give the title....yet!

what i can say is that the scripts i've written are all but finalized, and as soon as i get the software installed i will begin bringing them to life.

music and sound effects, on the other hand, i am having trouble with; well, more like finding them really. if anyone has a site that they use for their music and/or sound effects needs, leave a comment and let me know where to look (keep in mind i'm only looking for legend of zelda sound effects right now)

as for sprite gathering...i need a bit of help there as well. i want to try and use sprites that look four directions (up, down, left, and right) for my series...and one of ganondorf is hard to come by. i've looked at just about every sprite source out there, but if i cant find one i not gonna cancel my series...i'll just use ganon sprites instead. if you know of a good ganondorf sprite that looks in four directions though, let me know that too and i'll take a look.

finally, if the person i ticked off is reading this...i didnt mean to offend you in any way, shape, or form.

i'll post again if i got something else to say, or if i got the software (i will release the title only for the latter). bye for now!

i'm going to be honest here; i've been keeping one element of my project a secret, and now i choose to reveal it.

the secret is that i intend to use voices in my work, like hadoukendude does for his four swords misadventure series.

dont bother "lining up" for this though as i plan to do all of them myself for now. why u may ask? this is because i can alter how my voice comes out of my mouth.

i know what your thinking, "thats a weird {talent, trick}". hopefully i will be able to record multiple, different voices without the need of any special software (as all i got is the basic sound recorder) using this skill.

i plan to take it a bit further with...actually, i think i'll save this little bit for when i get the software!

this is because its another idea and i want to see if it will work before i reveal it. i will say that it involves actionscript (which i think i've done before in high school [i took a visual basic class then, but i'm not sure if its the same]).

stumped? i'll give one more hint then: "its related to the voice-acting". oh, and if you try to guess i wont tell you if your right or not. its going to remain a secret until the "GOT THE SOFTWARE" post.

i needed macromedia studio, not adobe pro! good thing i figured my mistake out before i bought the software.

anyway, i checked prices and it seems studio is way cheaper than adobe 9 was (by about $200), so i will be getting it soon.

I just got a letter from the bank informing me of my current balance...

and i have enough cash to buy the software^_^

all i gotta do now is to find a place that sells it. once i find and buy the software (which could take awhile depending on which store i choose), i'll announce that my work has begun in a new post.

that same post will also reveal the title of the series, along with the secret i'm keeping involving the voices. i'm also hoping that i will be able to make a banner, icon, and user picture at this time (i may also include a picture of the previews title screen).

finally, if i cant seem to find something (sprites, sound, etc.) that i need for the preview, i will make a list of those things with details of what i'm looking for, removing items from it as i find them.

oh, and i want to say this in advance:

ALL OF MY SOLO SUBMISSIONS ARE TO STAY ON NEWGROUNDS. IF ANYBODY WANTS TO POST MY WORK ELSEWHERE, THEY MUST GET MY PERMISSION AND GIVE CREDIT TO ME WHEREVER IT GETS POSTED, OR ELSE I WILL CONSIDER IT STOLEN.

while i been saving up for the latest adobe pro animation software and others, which is taking a lot longer than i first thought, i've been thinking of ideas for my first project. there have been many of them, but my latest seems the best one ive had so far...

i dont wish to have it stolen in any way, so all i'll mention is the basic plot. i was thinking a zelda movie where vaati and ganondorf team up to try to conquer hyrule and link needs the power of both the master sword and four sword in order to stop them.

i am just now finding sources for the sprites involved for a preview movie based on this idea, and if the movie has a decent amount of popularity i'll make a full blown series out of it. as far as the four sword is concerned; i am going to use the abilities from the minish cap (for those who havent played, it makes clones on certain panels across hyrule upon charging the blade. these clones dissapear if link takes damage, time runs out, he makes them walk into obstacles, or he chooses to dismiss them).

again, i have no software to make this as of this post so dont expect it to see anything soon. also i will keep an eye out for people who try to steal my idea.

finaly, i will do some flashes prior to this to get some more skill, but i will put time into them so that they arent just blam-fodder (as i like to call it, but it's really just work that easily gets terrible scores).
i will only post works i feel are good, but if they review or vote as constant zeroes i wont mind as i did my best to make it likeable.

so thats my idea in a nutshell. i hope that you, the people of newgrounds, will look forward to this. i plan to...whoops! cant reveal that otherwise the entire idea will be ruined! i'll release the info at the same time i submit the first movie of the series.

please comment on this if you think this is a good/bad idea, but keep in mind i will not take many suggestions as the idea is still an idea. as a matter of fact i have yet to write the script. i will begin writing that if the comments back up my idea, and i might use some of the suggestions. keyword there is MIGHT, so dont count on it if you do post an idea.

UPDATE (11/13): i have made the rough draft script, but its not complete. i missing a title for it. i putting some thought to it so i wont accept any suggestions involving it.

speaking of which, those suggestions that i do use (if there are any) will not be revealed until i release the flash. this is as a means to keep it as secretive as possible.

UPDATE (11/15): settled on a title for my series. like the rest of my work, it will remain a secret, but i will reveal it as soon as i get adobe 9 and begin work on the preview. this is so it can be found with ease when the preview and subsequent full episodes are released.

Well you would be WRONG!!! i dont even got that trail version of the flash maker software. to be honest i saving up for the new program adobe has out (over $700!). its gonna take awhile seeing i just a college student (currently in between classes though). but once i get it i'll try to post one. also i tend to be a perfectionist, or in other words...some guy with waaaaaaaay too much time on his hands.
when i do get to work on flash animation i'll try to work with sprites. i know they've been dropping in popularity recently, but i'm not a very good drawer. i was inspired to join mostly to animators like alvin-earthworm and victor fiori (a.k.a hadoukendude), but kirbopher15 and his "rawest forest" music vid sealed it.
well i think that about covers my introduction to newgrounds. and be4 any of u reply read this one last peice of info...
